Course Description


2.0 General BCBA CEUs

This bundle provides definitions and strategies that will increase the cultural responsiveness in behavior analysts' practice. Specifically, the first course discusses the concepts of cultural sensitivity, cultural  competence and cultural humility and the difference among them. It includes  the specific behaviors and skills that behavior analysts must adopt and master in order to provide more culturally responsive services to the diverse clients and stakeholders they work with. The second course defines and describes different types of bias and microaggression. The presenters discuss ways to recognize one's own biases and possible microinterventions. The participants will also learn how to use the ADDRESSING model (Hays, 2016) to address potential biases. Behavior analysts will engage in self-reflection activities throughout the trainings.
